Dave’s & Cat’ s Perspective:
Today we spent the day together. It was a nice, warm, humid day with no rain. We are keeping a close eye on the weather reports. Seem to be thunderstorms around us, but they have missed us. We explored downtown Dodge City by car. The Museum of the old west was very life like. We spent more than 4 hours there, and even watched the drama about a shoot out that they produced. It was interesting, and a bit comedic, so we enjoyed that. We had a Sarsaparilla in the Saloon and listened to a live piano player. Boot hill cemetery was a mock up since it no longer existed. Lots of artifacts that portrayed their way of life; native Indian tribes, buffalo hunters, saloon keepers, soiled doves, bankers, mercantile owners, cattlemen, lawmen, and of course, the outlaws.
We ate at IHOP and came home for a nap. Dave did some wash and Cat worked on a couple more paintings.
